Suffolk Holiday Guide

The beautiful county of Suffolk is a wonderful holiday destination at any time of the year.  With unspoilt coastal towns and villages steeped in history, stunning beaches and undulating countryside, Suffolk is a very special place and has something for everyone.

Whether you are a beach-goer, nature lover, keen walker, cyclist, shopaholic or foodie, there is plenty to explore in this breath-taking county.

Suffolk boasts long stretches of coastline, big open skies and rural charm and yet is only a 90 minute drive from London, with easy train access from London Liverpool Street.  East Anglia is also known to be one of the driest regions in the UK, so you will be less likely to need your umbrella!

The delightful seaside towns of Southwold, Aldeburgh and the charming village of Walberswick are perfect for a family holiday or romantic escape and Suffolk Coast and Heaths is an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with RSPB Minsmere and Dunwich Heath offering access to rare birdlife and acres of heathland to explore. If you are looking for something away from the tourist hotspots, then consider our wider range of cottages in and around Suffolk or Norfolk.

And if you like to sample good food and drink, there are excellent pubs and restaurants scattered throughout the county serving freshly-caught fish and locally sourced food, as well of the renowned local brews of Adnams and Green King, micro brewer Green Jack or the family business of Aspall’s Cider.

Suffolk has a vibrant cultural scene with an abundance of art galleries, theatres and bijou cinemas and is home to many musicians and performers at popular events such as Latitude Festival and the Southwold and Aldeburgh summer theatres.

There is so much to do and see in Suffolk and we think you will love it as much as we do!
