About us!

Heritage Hideaways is a small family business owned by Marion and Philip Anthony, who have a thorough knowledge of Suffolk and Norfolk having spent their childhood here, they have now returned to give their children the childhood they so much enjoyed walking the footpaths, playing on the beaches and exploring the history of the region.

Who will you talk to?

On a day to day basis, the company is run by Marion and her team of four colleagues: Clare, Jenny, Hannah and Tanya, who bring to the business a wealth of service industry expertise after many years experience in retail and tourism. They recognise and value the importance of customer service and communications and enjoy the daily contact with prospective customers as well as updating the technology support which helps run the computerised booking system, availability on line and the website.

We aim to answer every phone call, inside and outside office hours, but sometimes you will get the answer-phone! The internet and email is a great tool for working after hours!

Self Catering Short breaks

We offer flexible start dates: You may book to arrive or depart in many of our properties any day of the week to suit your own convenience, irrespective of how long you plan to stay. Most of our accommodation is open all year round. The flexible start dates apply all year round but exclude peak dates which are dictated by school holidays.

If you want to stay for a break of less than one week off peak, you pay a percentage of the weekly price: 3 nights 75%, 4 nights 80%, 5 nights 85%, 6 nights 90%.

If you want to stay for a break of less than a week in a peak period, the minimum charge is for a week unless you are filling a gap, in which case we may be able to offer you a break.

High Standards

All the cottages have been carefully selected for their unique qualities of location, character and comfort. They have all been individually inspected and comply with a common high standard, based on our own experience and visitBritain (previously English Tourist Board) grading. Many of the owners have come to us through personal recommendation and we work closely with them to ensure mutual comfort and satisfaction for our guests.
