Self Catering Holiday Accommodation in Norfolk and Suffolk

Norfolk and Suffolk - where? How do you get there? It isn't surprising that some people still have trouble finding out how to get there - Norfolk is dead against a motorway leading to Norwich - it would let in far too many people! And Suffolk, well part of its charm is getting lost in 'bow and arrow' country trying to find that pub which is always in the guide books.

The secret is out now however, so come and stay in the wonderful countryside of Norfolk and Suffolk to explore and discover our well kept secrets. Certain people, events and products have been putting the region on the map over the last few years and also over the last few hundred years! Lord Nelson went to school in Norwich, Sir Benjamin Britten started a music school at Snape Maltings, Sir Alfred Munnings lived in a Mill on the River Waveney and Adnams Beer has put Southwold firmly on the market as the home of Suffolk's best beer.

However, these are only a few of our secrets. And it's not just all about the countryside - there are miles and miles of beaches to explore! This is 'Lovejoy' landscape and do you remember the beach scene in 'Shakespeare in Love', that is the wonderous seascape of Holkham beach. The coast abounds with Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Nature Reserves to preserve a wealth of bird and wildlife which use our shores as part of their migration and it doesn't matter if you are a birder, twitcher or just plain interested in our wonderful wildlife, there will always be an RSPB centre to help you identify your birds. The seaside also provides a venue for kiting and kiteboarding, boating of all kinds, seal spotting, fishing, walking, and of course, playing on the beach with your bucket and spade and children of all ages.

Loads of sporting facilities are provided for in this area and with Suffolk and Norfolk being rather flatter than the Peak District, it is pretty good for cycling, riding and horse racing, golf, tennis, archery, clay pigeon shooting, and a wealth of very well equipped swimming pools and leisure centres - for those rainy days of our typical summer weather.
