Description

Self Catering National Quality Assurance Standard RatingThis cottage is one of six situated just a few yards from the mooring basin and river at Sutton Staithe. Unusual in design but taking advantage of the views, the bedroom and bathroom of this pretty cottage is downstairs and the living area is upstairs with sundeck and balcony.

Sutton Staithe is incredibly picturesque, in the heart of the Broads, and the perfect base for exploring the surrounding area. Nearby are the popular Broadland villages of Wroxham, Horning and Potter Heigham. The small market town of Stalham is home to the Broads Museum and Sea Palling, just 3 miles distant, has a lovely sandy beach. Additional entertainment in the area includes steam railway lines, craft centres and National Trust properties at Felbrigg and Blickling. Norwich and Great Yarmouth are within easy driving distance.

There are lovely walks along well marked footpaths, fishing (permissable with a rod license) and day boat hire right on your doorstep, and the restaurant just across the way from the cottage serves good food. The local pub and village stores are 350 yards away.

Customer Reviews

"Very clean and well presented cottage and tea/biscuits and flowers left for our arrival. Very comfortable property." Mr Kidderminster, Worcestershire. July 2009.

"The holiday home is simple, yet stylish and only a literal 30 seconds mosey from the river side!" Mr D, St Albans. February 2009.

"A perfect location if you enjoy fishing, you can even moor a boat. Set in beautiful grounds and a hotel is just 100 yards away if you fancy a drink or bite to eat." Miss G, West Midlands. November 2009.

"We chose this accommodation because we have a dog and he likes to lay outside. With both floors having outside space that was enclosed, that was fantastic. The accommodation could not have been better. Home from home. Ideal base for exploring Norfolk." Mrs P, Filey. September 2008.

"Excellent holiday. One of the best cottages we have stayed in, a credit to the owners, especially all the personal touches. Recommended to all." Mrs G, Worcestershire. August 2008.
