Description
Area Type: Broads
County: Norfolk
Country: England
Postcode: NR12 9QS
This cottage is one of six situated just a few yards from the mooring basin and river at Sutton Staithe. Unusual in design but taking advantage of the views, the bedroom and bathroom of this pretty cottage is downstairs and the living area is upstairs with sundeck and balcony.
Sutton Staithe is incredibly picturesque, in the heart of the Broads, and the perfect base for exploring the surrounding area. Nearby are the popular Broadland villages of Wroxham, Horning and Potter Heigham. The small market town of Stalham is home to the Broads Museum and Sea Palling, just 3 miles distant, has a lovely sandy beach. Additional entertainment in the area includes steam railway lines, craft centres and National Trust properties at Felbrigg and Blickling. Norwich and Great Yarmouth are within easy driving distance.
There are lovely walks along well marked footpaths, fishing (permissable with a rod license) and day boat hire right on your doorstep, and the restaurant just across the way from the cottage serves good food. The local pub and village stores are 350 yards away.
