This detached and recently renovated Victorian School is situated within the conservation area of the popular seaside village of Dunwich on the Suffolk Heritage Coast.
The imaginative renovations include placing all the bedrooms and bathrooms on the ground floor, with the living accommodation on the first floor to take advantage of the views over the marshes to the sea. The standard of fittings and furnishings, with underfloor heating, limestone tiling and crisp bed linen and fluffy towels, are of the highest to provide you with a very comfortable holiday cottage and the kitchen facilities are all provided to make your self catering holiday easy and enjoyable. Electric and oil-fired underfloor heating is provided throughout the cottage.
Dunwich is surrounded by extensive heathlands, forest, marshes and unspoilt beaches with the neighbouring villages of Walberswick and Sizewell and the RSPB reserve at Minsmere, a walk away, making this area a paradise for walkers and birdwatchers. The village boasts an excellent pub serving Adnams beers and wines and excellent food, a renowned beach cafe, freshly caught fish for sale from the beach huts and a wonderful plant nursery and tea room, together with a museum and ruins of the Friary.
