Description

Self Catering National Quality Assurance Standard RatingCarr's Barn has the Gold Award

This delightful holiday cottage has been renovated with great attention to detail in order to provide guests with a home from home! The rooms are spacious and bright with comfortable furnishings, sparkling bathrooms, luxurious bed linen and towels and a very well equipped kitchen. The cottage is centrally heated by oil boiler.

The cottage has been converted from one of a number of barns at Wangford Farm and shares the entrance driveway with the owners who live in the pretty red brick farmhouse.

Wangford is a delightful village with a variety of services within walking distance of the cottage, including two pubs, a garage serving fuel with an engineering workshop, an excellent village shop with newspapers and fresh food, extensive off licence and a warm welcome. The village has built an excellent playground for a wide range of ages of children plus an open area for ball games and a tennis court for hire. The village is delightful to explore with a pretty church and a variety of interesting houses and cottages, plus well marked footpaths around the lanes and to Reydon Woods which is a delight throughout the year to view birdlife and the wonderful blue bells in May.

The local area provides a wide range of activities for all ages from the Southwold Pier to tours of the Adnams Brewery, clay pigeon shooting and sailing, go carts, wineries, beaches, The Norfolk Broads, theatre, cinemas, music events and festivals, there is just so much to do in Suffolk throughout the year.
