Recently built, yet traditionally decorated, this ground floor self-contained cottage provides light and airy accommodation suitable for families and small groups looking to explore the Suffolk Heritage Coast and other attractions inland which include Sutton Hoo, Framlingham Castle, Snape Maltings and the lovely forests at Tunstall and Rendlesham. The riverside location also provides a wealth of bird life making the cottage an ideal base for bird watchers on holiday.
Stylish and comfortable furniture create a welcoming atmosphere in the cottage, with large comfortable sofas and a views of the river to die for ! The sky and river views are truly spectacular at any time of the year and create a 'vast expanse of natural beauty'. This cottage would be an ideal romantic hideaway.
Iken is on a peninsula in the Alde Valley and many interesting and easy walks are accessible from the cottage to explore the locality. Iken Church provides an eye-catching focal point for walks around the estuary and Snape Maltings is only one mile away upstream. The nearest seaside town is Aldeburgh, with Thorpeness just along the coast and the popular Edwardian seaside town of Southwold is just 30 minutes drive away.
The owners next door, also produce their own organic smoked salmon caught in Shetland - don't hesitate to ask about it!

- Bed linen provided, please bring your own towels or towels are available to hire at £10 per person per week.
- 2 well behaved medium sized dogs welcome @£15 each per week.
