Gorgeous quiet cottage with amazing views, thank you for a lovely week! Mrs R, July 2010 Fabulous location in the middle of Southwold, we couldn't have been happier just walking everywhere and exploring the shops, restaurants, pubs and countryside and Poppy Cottage is so comfortable and stylish. Situated on the top of Skilman's Hill, this cottage enjoys beautiful views over the Common to the west - think of the sunsets you will enjoy. Morning sunshine streams into the windows and french doors at the back of the cottage making it a very light and airy place to enjoy breakfast in the paved garden or at the dining table in the open plan living area.
The kitchen is a delight for anyone who enjoys cooking as much as the owner, so the equipment is of the highest standard and range. A walk through the town and down to the harbour to collect local ingredients and fresh fish for a gourmet dinner is one of the attractions this cottage and Southwold has to offer, together with the range of fine wines and beers from Adnams brewery and wine shops which are all within walking distance.
The living area is currently being refurbished and new soft furnishings will be available for your summer holiday. The current photographs of the sitting room are for guidelines to layout only. Please call to discuss new colour scheme!
