Description

Self Catering National Quality Assurance Standard RatingIdeally situated in the seaside village of Walberswick, this cottage has ample accommodation for families or couples looking to get away for holidays throughout the year.

Situated in the charming seaside village of Walberswick, just over the river from Southwold, this pretty cottage is an ideal location for traditional seaside holidays, with days is spent on the beach with bucket and spade, surfing, crabbing tackle or fishing rod..

Evenings can be spent having a barbeque in the pretty garden at Pembroke Cottage or enjoying local beer and carefully selected wines in either of the local pubs, The Bell and the Anchor, both within an easy walk of the cottage..

For the more energetic, the cottage is well placed for walking and cyclying through the woods to Dunwich Heath or over the bailey bridge to Southwold to play tennis or golf or to visit the renowned Southwold Pier.

Further afield this part of Suffolk offers a range of historial attractions from the early occupation of the Saxons at Sutton Hoo, to Framlingham Castle with its Tudor connections, the Cold War Museum at Bentwaters to the modern attractions of Pleasurewood Hills, Go Karting at Ellough, horse racing at Newmarket - the evening meetings are especially fun, plus all the concerts, plays, events and festivals at superb locations around this 'quiet' part of the county.

This area of Suffolk is still relatively unexplored with Southwold being the main focus of attention with the Adnams Brewery, Southwold Pier and colourful beach huts and broad promenade. Another advantage to this part of the country is the low average rainfall, only 30" a year - not bad compared with the wet west coast!.
