This pretty period cottage is full of character from its beamed ceilings, turning staircase and bedrooms under the eaves. However, a modern fitted kitchen and newly fitted bathroom with separate shower cubicle, make it a very comfortable and convenient cottage for family holidays and weekends away throughout the year.
Its location within walking distance of the sea, Dunwich Heath and Forest, the well known Ship Inn and its excellent food and local Adnams beer, combine to make it a superb base from which to explore the area. Dunwich has a long and interesting history which can be explored at the Dunwich Museum http://www.dunwichmuseum.org.uk/.
The cottage is named after a well known character in the village and a photo of her hangs in the cottage.

Reviews:We did enjoy our stay in the cottage and the location was excellent. We raised some concern over the cleaning, but we would certainly consider booking it again. Mr Mitchell. November 2009.
We stayed at Miss Rawlings Cottage, Dunwich, for a week from April 23 and enjoyed a cracking time, thanks. Thought the utility room at the end of the kitchen was very useful, liked the kitchen and sitting room, and found the main bedroom was easily the most restful we've stayed away in. And the wildlfe around the cottage was terrific, especially the three red deer stags. Steve and Alison May 2010
