This house has recently been renovated, updating the kitchen and bathroom facilities and redecorating the whole house with tasteful colours and styles. Antique pine and oak furniture are used to furnish the rooms and create a stylish and relaxing atmosphere. The conservatory/dining room is a place for relaxing mealtimes and is used throughout the year, with blinds to shield the sun in the summer and heating in the winter, when you can enjoy the winter sunshine.
The village of Walberswick offers a post office with a well stocked shop selling daily newspapers and local produce, and fresh fish is often available from fishing huts along the River Blyth. Both village pubs serve good food, and there is a small variety of gift shops and cafes. The beach is only 15 minutes walk from Elms Gables and offers good swimming, lovely sand dunes and beach huts. Many well signposted walks lead you through national nature reserves to either Dunwich or Blythburgh and the attractive Edwardian seaside town of Southwold can be reached over the Bailey bridge at Blackshore or by the ferry from the edge of the car park in Walberswick. Darsham Station on the A12 is only 15 minutes away by car.
