There are many great attributes to this newly built chalet; it is situated at 1400 m in the small and friendly Swiss village of Veysonnaz which offers excellent ski-ing facilities over a wide range of resorts and abilities from Veysonnaz to Nandez and onwards to Verbier; in summer the village is a fantastic base for anyone who enjoys walking or cycling, offering you the chance to make your own way around the 300km of well-signposted paths and trails. For the younger holidaymaker there is plenty do as well. Various activities are organized throughout the summer for children aged four and over, with two different age-group ranges varying the scope of what is available. For the 4-8 yr olds the focus is on theme days and activities such as donkey riding. For the older children and for adults more active pursuits such as archery, mountain bike tours, football and tennis are all available.
The chalet is newly built on three floors with large balconies and spectacular views over the Rhone Valley. The accommodation is spacious and well designed, efficiently heated in winter and well ventilated in summer, the water pressure is fabulous for great showers at the end of a busy day of exercise, plus a sauna for serious aches and pains. There are three bedrooms on the lower floor with the main double bedroom having a spacious bathroom with twin handbasins, WC and bath with shower over. The other bedrooms are a twin and a double and share a shower room with WC, handbasin and sauna. The bedrooms all have built in wardrobes with shelves giving plenty of storage. The laundry room and drying room for the ski season are also on this floor, with an exterior door from the boot room. Underfloor heating brings even more luxury to this superb and comfortable chalet.
The first floor has an open plan living area and another shower room with WC and handbasin. The living area offers three large sofas, coffee tables, open fire, large flat screen TV with Sky and WiFi; two sets of double glazed doors open on to the balcony. The dining area has a long table which seats 8 comfortably with the spacious kitchen adjacent to it. The kitchen is very well equipped with halogen hob, electric oven and microwave, large fridge with 3 drawer freezer, plenty of storage space for equipment and food.
The second floor accommodates the huge master bedroom with built in cupboards and wardrobes and large windows and balcony overlooking the valley. A very spacious bathroom is en suite with corner bath, twin handbasins, WC and shower cubicle, together with storage cupboards.
A small room next to the master bedroom and under the eaves with a sloping ceiling, has two single beds.

"We stayed in Chalet Lususa last year (2007) over the Christmas week, with our family. It's a spacious, comfortable chalet with all mod cons. Immaculate throughout. Great views from all rooms. Easy accessibility to the extensive ski slopes and great mountain-top eateries. Charming village and bistros, and the nearest town Sion has good range of shops. A delightful and affordable stay in an-up-and coming resort. We will definitely be going again." Marilla and Gren, Surrey
"My family, including my three young grandsons, stayed at this beautiful and traditional Swiss chalet last Easter (2008). It has stunning, panoramic views from every room and all the 'mod cons', which make a family skiing holiday extra-special. It is tastefully decorated throughout and you can 'ease out ' all those aches and pains in the sauna before relaxing in front of a blazing open fire in the large and cosy living area. If you don't feel like cooking you can walk down a few steps to a traditional Swiss restaurant and eat in style ..... sheer bliss." Shirley Barton, Buckinghamshire (Vice President Kandahar Ski Club & Team Manager British Childrens' Ski Team)
"This chalet is easily one of the best we have stayed in for years! Easily accessed (take the train from Geneva airport to Sion takes about an hour then catch a bus or take a taxi, - it’s about 20 minutes up the mountain.
We found Chalet Lususa was equipped to a high standard – check out the sauna, table football and state of the art TV system, if you can drag yourself away from the jaw dropping views to be had from the roomy balconies. The beds are comfy, and there really are enough loos and baths/showers to cater for everyone, we never ran out of hot water! If you’re on a budget or just want to stay in to eat, the kitchen has been well designed and equipped for most culinary requirements, but if you prefer dining out there are many restaurants just a short walk away to choose from. The main village of Vaysonnez can provide all your groceries but Sion is only about 20 minutes down the valley by car and has a wide variety of shops, and more restaurants.
Check out the tourist info for details on the wonderful walks, which start from the village if you’re staying in the summer, don't miss out on ambling along the “Bisse” or if you're feeling energetic you could hike out up to Mt Rouge for stunning views." Mandy and Dave Crane, Dorset
"What a superb chalet, warm, spacious and very comfortable!". Jane and Ian, Norwich Feb 2009
"The ski-ing has been so good for the whole family, super ski instructors for the children learning to snowboard and for us, trying to master the carving technique". Tom and Sue, Suffolk Feb 2010
"There is just so much ski-ing and its so easy to ski to Verbier and Nendaz to add variety and push the boundaries!"
