County: Norfolk
Country: England
Postcode: NR12 8JT
This stunning house oozes an atmosphere! All the rooms are spacious, well appointed and many have beautiful views over the garden and the Broad.
The family who own the house use it on a regular basis and are pleased to welcome families and groups of friends to enjoy the facilities of the large dining room, billiard room, hard tennis court, extensive grounds and the broad for fishing, a rowing boat is available but use of the broad is strictly at your own risk. Seasonal vegetables are also available from the kitchen garden by arrangement, and the neighbouring farm where alpacas and other animals are kept, may be visited by arrangement.
The village of Horning provides the nearest shop which is open from 8 am - 8 pm and has an excellent butcher's shop, a swimming pool and of course, its own broad. Wroxham is 2 miles away and has a wide variety of shops as well as being the centre of the Norfolk Broads where there is a wide choice of water based activities to choose from. Wroxham is also the nearest railway station to the property and a car is helpful for exploring the area, although bicycles would be equally useful.
The nearest beach is at Waxham and is 8 miles away but the whole of the Norfolk Heritage Coast provides a wonderful variety of sandy beaches and a variety of facilities for bird watchers, sailors, jet skiers, families and walkers. A number of local pubs serve awarding winning food, the Barton Angler and the White Horse at Neatishead to name but two.
As the the family use the house on a regular basis, there is food in the pantry and they feel that if when you are staying at the house, you should feel comfortable about using the herbs, marmalade and odds bits, but please replace them. The toys and games left by the children are also to be used with care but should be always put away afterwards.
