Located in a lovely rural position, this cottage is a converted wing of an old farmhouse where the Gower family have lived and farmed for many generations. Originally a timber framed and thatched house, the clay lump walls and roof were replaced, leaving the interior of the cottage with a wealth of oak beams, uneven upstairs floors and an inglenook fire place.

The cottage is attractively decorated, furnished and a warm welcome can be expected. The garden is enclosed and therefore safe for children and pets, as well as having a large lawn, picnic table and benches, with sun umbrella for outside entertaining. Country walks along well signposted paths are within easy reach of the cottage and the attractive market town of Bungay is a few miles away. Bungay is well known for its castle, antique shops, excellent restaurants, gift shops and a variety of pubs.

Also within easy reach is the country town of Norfolk with its wonderful cathedral and castle, the Norfolk Boards and the Heritage Coast of Suffolk with the renowned seaside towns of Southwold and Aldeburgh and villages of Walberswick, Dunwich, Snape, Orford and Eastbridge.
