This delightful and traditional cottage has been modernised recently with attractive and stylish accommodation now arranged over three floors. It is centrally located and still remains surprisingly quiet. Ideal for exploring this pretty market town, with its fine range of restaurants, pubs and shops serving local produce and lovely arts and crafts.

Framlingham is a picturesque market town set in the beautiful Suffolk countryside, and is renowned for its magnificent castle which is 12th century and is by and large in good order. Visitors can walk around the battlements which give wonderful views over the countryside and the mere. Concerts and re-enactments take place usually from May to September.

The town has many intesting shops with quaint buildings dating from the 17th centuary, the best examples are on the Market Hill, where a weekly market is held, an array of shops, cafes, restaurants a small supermarket and several pubs. The 15th centuary Church of St Michael is of considerable importance and contains the tomb of the Howard family, an historically powerful family in English history.

Framlingham is an excellent base for exploring the unspoilt part of Suffolk, with country lanes that are ideal for walking and cycling. Several RSPB bird reserves, Minsmere being the major centre, are just a few minutes drive away along with the traditional seaside towns of Southwold, Aldeburgh, Walberswick and Dunwich. Other attractions are Saxtead Mill, Easton Farm Park, Rendlesham Forest, Dunwich Heath and river cruises on the Alde.

Holiday cottage accommodation

Kitchen:Newly fitted units, electric cooker, gas hob, microwave, table and chairs for 4, rear lobby housing washing machine and fridge with separate freezer.
Sitting Room:Cosy, snug room with open fireplace(ornamental only), two sofas, TV with digital channels, video, dvd player, books and games.
Bedroom 1:This room has a comfortable double bed, chest of drawers, hanging space and hairdryer. Situated at the front of the house with a relaxing feel to it.
Bathroom:Bath with power shower over, WC, handbasin, heated towel rail.
Bedroom 2:Steep modern staircase leading to twin bedroom, with roof top views of the town and colleges.
Outside:Small courtyard garden with seating and bistro table, BBQ, shared parking for 1 car. Parking is tight but there is also a free car park 2 minutes away.
